they call me redhead

Here's my design for Nadia Esra's blog (they call me redhead) header. Her blog is lovely and her pictures are great :) This header was for a competition she had, not sure it'll get used but I don't mind, her hair was great to draw! Made using fine liner pens (0.05), and in the second version watercolour pencils and paint. I think I may like the first version better... hmm.

old oil paintings and such

Just a smittering of some of my A level work, the first two are pretty big canvases (A0 and A00)  I miss oil painting, I haven't done it since A levels, a bit scared I've lost the skills.

We've just been set our newest project, Word & Image- as you can see, more images than words in the first two here.. It's a group project in which we have to make a fanzine. Good stuff. So the two images above are just a couple of quick sketches for our theme, which is 'between the wars in England'... so I drew some flapper style girls.

My whole group's traded images now, which is really cool. Collaborative work ahoy! So much fun :) So here's some of the work which is half mine/half someone else's:

 

 

All of these are a combination of my work, and my groups, so a lot/most of the credit goes to them :)
